Michael McGee is a Minneapolis composer who writes for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. He studied composition at Manhattan School of Music, Mannes School of Music and the University of California, San Diego. His teachers included William Sydeman, Thomas Pasatieri, and Robert Erickson. Mr. McGee is fluent in many different styles from tonal choral works to post-modern music to electronic and experimental. His versatility is evident in his collaboration with dancers, multi-media artists and experimental instruments.
